MRTZCmp3 die Quelle aller Quellen für illegale MP3 Downloads für elektronische Musik ist weg. Über ein halbes Jahrzehnt versorgte die Seite vor allem werdende Hobby-DJs und geizige Profis mit kostenlosen Downloads von fast jedem Track, den es auch auf iTunes und Beatport zu kaufen gab. Nicht nur fast jedes Lied war leicht zugänglich, sondern auch in guter Qualität vorhanden. Mehr noch, für besonders seltene Tracks und Vinyl Only Releases war MRTZCmp3 die wohl einzig verlässliche Quelle. Unvorsichtige DJs wurden oft mit einem Blick entlarvt. Ein kleiner Blick auf Traktor oder den LCD Screen des CDJs zeigte im Track-Namen das Kürzel mrtzcmp3.net.
Mit dem Ende von MRTZCmp3 wird es für vielen DJs deutlich schwieriger fallen an neue Tracks zu kommen ohne sie zu kaufen. Was das genau bedeutet, zeigt diese Grafik im direkten Vergleich mit Beatport deutlich. MRTZmp3 vereinte gut 10% des Marktes für sich, was es jedoch auch bedeutet, dass in Zukunft DJs wohl vermehrt zu Beatport und Co. greifen werden müssen, wenn sie ihre Sets frisch halten wollen.

Update: Hi Guys. After hundreds of e-mails, i feel like have to publish this update. First of all thanks for all kindly emails. I created this project 7 years ago when i was a high school student. And never think about getting profit from Mrtzcmp3. When we think our ad revenues and donations, they were nearly pay bills every month. But of course, it is not the reason for shutdown. After 7 years, i grow up. finished college and find myself to decide whats the next move ? I think next move is, closing Mrtzcmp3. I want to say sorry to all independent record labels. Everyone asking me another site like this one, i really dont know the answer :) But if you a regular music lover, just give a chance to Spotify(no its not a ad) :) One Last Word, if you like a tune! at least go to the concert of its creator! one last time, Cheers!
